Welcome to a new year!!!

Welcome to the recently revamped Calligraphy Katrina and Maison du Papier Blogspot! I am excited to announce that we will have new blog posts every week starting today. They will be announced via Twitter @calligkatrina So follow us if you'd like to stay posted!! :]

So I know that it's not quite January 1st anymore, but for us here at Calligraphy Katrina and Maison du Papier our hibernation period has come to an early end and we're back to business as usual! So many wonderful new resolutions and ideas for 2012 - we will be sure to keep you updated as the year progresses.

Only 2 1/2 weeks into the new year, and we have already finished several projects and attended our first event! Here are some sample pictures of one of the projects we finished. The theme was "The French Quarter" in New Orleans - one of my personal favorites! This was a collaborative effort between our creative groom and Katrina. She pushed for the white and gold ink to add that extra pop of color and classic look. Since our groom only ordered a whooping six invites (yes, that's not a typo), Katrina went all out by handwriting and cutting each invite (no master printing or cutting here - no two invites are alike) and used a special wax with the fleur de lis emblem to seal each one shut. With the hand-torn Fabriano paper, textured navy blue stock, and antique gold ribbon with the fleur de lis accents on red tags, these are definitely one-of-a-kind invitations that can make anyone's wedding extra special. :] What do you think?
